What is the Unámonos association?
The Unamonos Association is a non-profit civil association that for 56 years has provided rehabilitation and education to children and young people with intellectual disabilities from low-income families in southern Peru, through the Unamonos School and other programs of special education that includes stimulation for babies, job placement for young people, workshops for the production of carpentry pieces and fabrics; and advice for social inclusion.

The Association obtains sufficient funding to pay for rehabilitation and special education programs through actions throughout the year. Thus, it maintains an Agreement with the Ministry of Education of Peru that finances 16 professionals and technicians who work at “Escuela Unámonos”. In addition, foundations abroad, national and local companies, plus individual contributions, allow all their programs to be maintained. The Board of Directors of the Unamonos Association, elected by the Assembly of active members, ensures the achievement of the financing objectives while guaranteeing their correct and exclusive use, in educational purposes. The Association is a recipient of donations according to Resolution of Intendency N ° 0590050004278 issued by SUNAT.

Paintings from the Jaime Rey de Castro Watercolor Contest
Unamonos puts on sale the winning paintings of first places and honorable mentions, the product of the 26 years of the “Jaime Rey de Castro Watercolor Contest”(1988 – 2013), sponsored by the company El Pacífico Peruano Suiza, an insurance and reinsurance company.
Christmas cards
The income from the sale of the cards is used in its entirety to keep the School and the other rehabilitation and education programs of the Unamonos Association in operation.
Charity Cards
Charity cards are a way of accompanying grieving families when a loved one dies. Acquiring one of ours is also supporting a work of social good.
Cards for special occasions
There are important moments in the lives of our family and friends that can be accompanied by good wishes. Therefore, Unamonos proposes a donation according to the occasion, to support its rehabilitation and education programs for exceptional people.
Educate a Child
The Unamonos Association is able to subsidize only a part of the services it provides to its students, which is why it requests the collaboration of generous people and entities with a sense of social responsibility, to contribute together with it to provide a possibility of life different from the children and young people it serves.
Volunteer program
Volunteers are people referred by our friends and contacts or presented by specialized organizations, with moral solvency, that can support any Unamonos Program.
