Unámonos School

For more than 45 years, the Association has provided rehabilitation and education through the Unamonos School, known as the Centro de Educación Básica Especial (CEBE) Unámonos, whose main objective is the social and labor inclusion of its students: children and young people with some form of intellectual disability (Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, brain injury, and others).

Since 2013, based on the results of an investigation carried out by our pedagogical team, Unamonos determined that in addition to the rehabilitation and education of children and young people, its objective would be expanded to work intensely, in the improvement of the acceptance of the disability status in each family nucleus.

The aforementioned research correlated the success of the inclusion and job support of our young people in different work centers, with the level of acceptance of their families; disability. In addition, this work was chosen by the Peruvian Educational Research Society to be exhibited at its National Seminar in 2014, as a successful educational experience.
